Tony Ralston, a defender for Celtic, has joined the club’s growing list of injured players according to fan media outlet VideoCelts.
Although the defender was called up for the Scotland squad last week, he was not selected for their recent game against Cyprus due to a knock he sustained during training.
As a result, Ralston will return to Celtic for treatment instead of playing in Scotland’s upcoming match against Spain.
Although Alastair Johnston is the first-choice right-back for Celtic, Ralston is considered a reliable backup.
Other Celtic stars, such as Liel Abada, Daizen Maeda, Sead Haksabanovic, Greg Taylor, Aaron Mooy, Reo Hatate and CCV, are also dealing with injuries.
There are nine games to go in the SPFL and we need our top players to be fit. There could possibly be eleven games still to play if Celtic can get past The Rangers at Hampden in April.
Ange Postecoglou will be keen to see what the damage is when the bhoys return to Lennoxtown next week. For the players who weren’t on international duty, the club will be managing their injuries in the hope of getting them back for the run-in.
