Celtic’s B team will face a colossal derby match in the final of the Glasgow Cup.
The side that are taken by Darren O’Dea and Stephen McManus cruised to a 4-0 win over Partick Thistle last week to secure their place in the showpiece event for which their opponents have now been confirmed as Rangers B.
The Gers defeated Queen’s Park by four goals to nil on Tuesday to secure their final place.
Initially, the Glasgow Cup starts off in a round robin group stage format although after Clyde pulled out, it went straight to the semi finals.
Obviously, Celtic and the Rangers each won their respective ties to set up a blockbuster finale, the details for which are yet to be decided.
So far this season, the sides have met on three occasions with Celtic winning all three.
In the first match, the Bhoys won 5-2 at home before successive 3-1 victories at the Rangers Training Centre and Ibrox.
In the final, the young Hoops will be looking to make it a green and whitewash as it’ll be the last time the sides face off this campaign and what better way to do so than winning a trophy in the process.
