According to reports this evening, another Parkhead exit is set to be confirmed with young striker Jack Aitchison leaving the club for Barnsley.

Jack had a fantastic upside coming through the ranks at Celtic Park, however, loan spells haven’t gone great and Neil Lennon is not one for bringing through youth players and giving them a chance.

Also the fact the Reserves have no competitive football to play other than the odd Glasgow Cup outing, the chance to get better and make an impact is very small.

Scottish journalist Alan Nixon claims the striker is close to a deal and has already called him an ex-Celtic player even though there has been no official communication from the club itself.

Jack made a scoring debut under Ronny Deila when the youngster grabbed a goal in a 7-0 rout of Motherwell. The title lifting day saw Jack become the youngest ever Celtic goalscorer at 16 years and 71 days.

We’ll update you on developments as they happen.

Jack will be another exit after the likes of Jozo Simunovic, Jonny Hayes, Craig Gordon and Liam Burt already.
