Yesterday it was revealed that Celtic had only received 2,905 tickets for the match against Dundee United in just over a weeks time with it now being confirmed the Hoops allocation has been cut.

During the course of last season, visits to Tannadice didn’t lack controversy with there being a number of issues with tickets surrounding the fixture.

Last December through no fault of either club, parts of the roof in the Jerry Kerr stand were damaged following Storm Arwen which left many Celtic fans without a ticket for the match.

Celtic’s next visit to Dundee United in the Scottish Cup saw the away support be axed from the Shed end of the stadium which greatly reduced the Hoops allocation for the cup tie with large parts of the ground remaining empty as well as bits of the Shed.

To be declared champions once again, Celtic’s final game on the road last season was a visit to Tannadice with a full allocation being handed to the Hoops but upon entry to the ground many Celtic fans faced desperately poor situation created by police and stewarding.

For the visit next Sunday, Celtic FC SLO confirmed that the allocation had been cut with Celtic only being given the Shed and two sections of the Jerry Kerr stand with it appearing that the Jim McLean Fair Play stand has also been away.

This is very disappointing with it being likely that other parts of the stadium will once again lie empty
