Anthony Ralston has gotten his reward for playing in a title-winning side; the Celtic right-back has been called up to the Scottish national team.
This summer, Scotland is fighting on two fronts – World Cup qualification and Nation League fixtures.
During the World Cup qualification group stage, Anthony made his Scotland debut in a 3-minute cameo appearance against Denmark. However, that was in November 2021, and the player hasn’t had a look in until now.

Ralston played a massive part in Celtic’s success this season. Fans had him pegged for a Celtic exit, but fate would land the defender one final chance as the club’s only right back at the beginning of the season. Anthony took his chance and won a new long term deal at Celtic Park.
He’s shown enough to make it into the Scotland squad, and we’re glad Steve Clarke has decided to call up the Celtic star.
Will Anthony get game time?
Perhaps in the Nations League, but I doubt Steve Clarke will deviate too much from his usual squad for the upcoming game against Ukraine.
