ANTHONY RALSTON dug Celtic out a hole on Wednesday night scoring in the 97th minute of the match to secure the three points for the hoops. Celebrations in the stand demonstrated the passion Celtic fans are renowned for.

The game looked set to finish a one-all draw meaning Celtic would fall even further behind The Rangers, making the gap six points, but the three points secured by Ralston ensured Celtic maintained their title push.

Ralston, who grew up a Celtic fan admitted that he too would have gone “nuts” in the stand. Speaking to Celtic TV, ‘Raldo’ said this;

“If I was in the stand I’d be going nuts as well. So to be involved in scoring the goal is brilliant but, like I said, the main thing is that I contribute to the team in a positive way, we got the three points and we’re pushing in the right direction.”

It’s great to see a local bhoy do well for Celtic, especially someone like Ralston who came through the academy and despite being labeled ‘not good enough’ is arguably one of Celtic’s players of the season.

The celebrations showed just how strong the connection is between the squad and the fans, something that was missing last year. Let’s just hope no one passed COVID to any of the players!

  1. I may well be on the wrong side of history by standing by my beliefs and intuition but the hill I am willing to die on is the one on which the government shills are found out to be thus.
