STEVE CLARKE has named his starting lineup for Scotland as they open their Nations League campaign.

The Scots are looking to bounce back from World Cup heartache, with Ukraine defeating the side in their last outing.

Finally, Steve Clarke has recognised Anthony Ralston’s brilliant turnaround this season and has rewarded him with his first Scotland start. The right-back must now show Steve Clarke why he should be involved with future Scotland squads by using the opportunity handed to him.

Also in from the start is Callum McGregor who will be looking to continue his good run of form in a Scotland shirt.

Steve Clarke looks to have made a few tweaks to his side that suffered defeat to Ukraine a week ago, naming former Celtic star Ryan Christie in his starting lineup. Also named are Craig Gordon, Jack Hendry, Andy Robertson, and  Stuart Armstrong.

David Turnbull will start this game on the bench, despite scoring ten goals and registering eight assists, quite impressive given he was out for a large part of the season.
