CELTIC don’t plan to do a lot of business in January but one deal they look likely to facilitate is moving Hatem Elhamed on after the defender revealed he’s homesick.

The Celtic player has not had the best of times in Glasgow. His wife was denied a work permit for Scotland and ended up back in Israel with his son. The pandemic has made it near impossible for Hatem to settle in properly and be able to see his family on a regular basis.

The club know the defender would like to move back to his home country and he might just get his wish now with his former club Hapeol Be’er Sheva approaching Celtic for a loan deal according to RecordSport.

Since coming to Celtic, Hatem has had ups and downs but he’s also had his fair share of injuries. One of his most memorable performances came early on in his Celtic career with his performance at Ibrox when Celtic won 2-0.

If he leaves in January, we wish him all the best.
