ARSENAL know exactly what calibre of player they can get from Celtic, so it’s know surprise the rumours of the London club moving for Odsonne Edouard persist.

Kieran Tierney swaggered into the Emirates and quickly became one of their star players. At £25m there’s no doubt the Gunners got a bargain in Premier League terms.

As this season winds down with Edouard’s inevitable exit on the cards, it’s not if he goes but how much we get for our star striker.

Reports down south claim Arsenal are confident of tying up a £15-£20m deal for the record breaking French under 21 international.

Had Eddy been contracted for longer than one more season, that sort of figure would have been laughed out of the building. Now, it looks more realistic but I wouldn’t be surprised if Celtic held out for a little more.

Gone are the days when a top talent from Celtic needs to prove themselves at a lower league level in England before getting a club in the top half of the EPL.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Leicester make a move for the Frenchman, considering it was Brendan who brought Eddy to Celtic from EPL. A bidding war anyone?
