SIMON DONNELLY was in better spirits on Wednesday evening after what would have been a week from hell so far for the former Celtic star.
The news of Jackie McNamara falling ill hit the whole Celtic support hard but none harder than Simon who has been friends with Jacki since their Celtic days. Owning a bar and restaurant with each other over in Spain, the pair are close.
It was heartening news on Tuesday when word got out that Jackie was awake and talking after his operation and as the former Celtic player looks on the road to recovery, Simon could enjoy watching Celtic go ten points clear in the title race.
Taking to social media after Celtic had won 5-0 while The Rangers lost 2-1 to Kilmarnock, Sid was at the wind up!

Celtic famously chant Scott Brown won the league at Rugby Park which pretty much happened last season with a late winner against Kilmarnock. Nobody won the league at Rugby Park this season but someone may have lost it!
