We wrote earlier today about the generosity of Celtic fans and the groups that organise such events like food banks and charity nights etc. to raise money for various causes.

On the back of that, this afternoon Celtic announced that the Celtic Foundation raised a whopping £2million in-line with their Lisbon Lion 50TH anniversary charity drive.

Tony Hamilton who oversees the foundation announced that the charitable donations and fundraising are the ‘highest in the clubs history’ before Celtic’s AGM this morning.

The money raised will see many charities in the UK and Overseas benefit.

This would not be possible without the continued generosity of the Celtic family who continue to carry on the good work that Brother Walfrid started over 130 years ago.
