Celtic won four trebles on the bounce, FOUR!

Some of our rivals have tried to discredit that, and play out some fantasy where it’s easy to continually to not only win trophies but have the hunger to win them after being so successful over a long period of time.

Every cup game, every league game during the years of historic and unprecedented success, Celtic were a juggernaut, a team full of winners who just wanted to keep winning at all costs.

After last season, where no fans were allowed in stadium’s and the ibrox side finally picked up a trophy, it’s quite astonishing what’s going on over there.

It also adds credence to the theory this Ibrox club can’t handle real pressure, and it’s all good when the games feel more like a training ground exercise.

After they were soundly beaten by Hibernian at the weekend, with the Edinburgh side booking their place in the final against Celtic – we could not believe what was coming out of Conor Goldson’s mouth

He told a live Premier Sports, camera: “The staff have covered everything this week. We’ve let ourselves down and players didn’t follow instructions. People are in the wrong positions, which we worked in yesterday.

“You would hope players would want to impress the new manager. We need something to change. We need a spark.

“I don’t want to say this, but we’ve lost a bit of hunger. We are champions and some think they don’t need to work as hard. That’s crept in all season.”

Complacency and lost their hunger and desire after winning one trophy is quite the astonishing admission by the vice-captain.

When we were in the thick of things, it’s hard to truly appreciate what’s going on but the tam who won four trebles in a row will likely never be matched. Passion, desire and sheer will to win was there throughout. These pretenders need put out to pasture.
