Scottish away supporters are set to return to Parkhead for the first time this season when St Johnstone travels to Glasgow on Saturday.

With the issues of Covid protocols still being in place at the early stages of the 2021/22 campaign, away fans in Scotland have found themselves missing out on games.

This is due to the club’s commitment to facilitating season ticket holders at Celtic Park – who were forced to move seats away from the main stand due to the red zones which were being used for club officials, including substitutes on a matchday.

In more recent weeks, we have slowly seen the return of away crowds to Parkhead in European fixtures, with Bayer Leverkusen and Ferencvaros bringing small travelling supports to the East End of Glasgow.

However, this weekends fixture is the first time domestic away fans will be within the stadium since the last fixture before Lockdown against St Mirren in March 2020.

The current cup double holders announced that tickets were on sale to Saints fans as they look to get back to winning ways against Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic side on Saturday.
