ALBERT GUDMUNDSSON wants to leave AZ Alkmaar amid links to both Glasgow clubs. The Icelandic’s contract expires in the summer meaning Celtic can sign the international for free.

The winger, who can also play as a striker, has no interest in signing a new deal in Holland, the club sporting director confirmed. [Noordhollands]

He would have no problem adjusting to Postecoglou’s high pressing system, as Alkmaar demonstrated during the Europa League clash between the two clubs both managers have similar footballing philosophies.

Interestingly, the 24-year-old has never left Holland in his professional career his next step in his career may be to find a new challenge. A title battle with an attacking minded manager in front of the best fans in the world does sound like something that will interest any player.

Postecoglou is building a monster of a team full of energetic attacking talent, adding quality upon quality is exciting. Celtic will simply just be outscoring the opposition and I’m not complaining!
