It seems like a long time since Mikey Johnstone entered the Celtic stage and announced himself to the support.
The player has bags of talent and potential but every time he has started to really show what he can do an injury has hit and he’s spent long spells on the sidelines.
Mikey’s footwork at times is outstanding to watch and when he’s on it, he can tear defenders to shreds.
His latest injury troubles have meant he’s not played most of this year, before or after the pandemic.
With the International break in full swing, Mikey gave the Celtic support a boost by declaring he was back on grass just three weeks after his op.
The winger is well on the road to recovery, although we shouldn’t count on seeing the player for another month or so. We keep saying it, if Mikey can stay fit, he has the potential to be a first team star.
