THE SNOW is the big talking point this morning after it caused all SPFL games to be cancelled this evening.

With that in mind – Celtic’s next game in the SPFL is against The Rangers and that’s brought some Celtic fans to a humorous conclusion about our suspended right back Mikael Lustig.

Mikael was set to serve his suspension tonight but may now have to serve it against Ibrox side. One fan joked Peter Lawwell made it snow so Lustig couldn’t make the game.

Mikael has been on a poor run of form which culminated in the defender being sent off against Aberdeen on Sunday.

With him showing no signs of improvement lately, many fans feel he could be a liability at Ibrox.

However, Lustig could still serve his ban before then if the SPFL make the sensible decision to play the postponed game next week.

  1. Some fans so fickle, yeah he’s not been in the best of form recently, but imeadiatley forget how well the swede has done for us the past few seasons

  2. poor form slagging off a guy who has been immense in games v sevco, a guy who knows what that mob are all about and who relishes sticking it to them

  3. Absolute rubbish, acting like Huns and have short memories. That guy their slagging scored one of the best goals ever at the dead cheats venue, even though it was sevco,I bet they noised Huns up forever through that goal.very poor !

  4. Lustig is finished. His performance against Astana should have saw him lose his place for good. He is of no use to us. ‘Immense in games against Sevco’, so what it is like saying he has never put a foot wrong against Brechin. Sevco are a joke. They are garbage. Some supporters of Celtic need to be reminded Sevco are not Rangers. Fans are fickle but Lustig has been garbage all season and that is too long. Get rid. We can expect the same humiliations in Europe if he is still in the team next season. He needs to move on for the good of everyone, himself included.

  5. i am utterly disgusted with some of these comments from so called supporters, disgracefull , yes this man hasnt been on form recently , but short memories he has been a great servant to our club , if you want loyalty it should be returned , no need to slate him like this , no celtic supporter would run one of our players down like this . so i hope that he can get back to his old self and shut all the so called fans up god bless you son and thank you for all the good support u have given our great team god bless

  6. Can’t believe some of them tweets (john),Lustig has been one of great servants to this great club, has been clearly carrying a Achilles injury for some time,is it BR does not trust back up Ralston and Gambia.i don’t know, keep the faith with all our Bhoys stop your moaning as you can see Uefa don’t want us only so called big clubs in big money leagues. SPL rotten with only teams in green and white trying to beat that rotten/corrupt club.Be careful at that match the place is falling down,BEAST FROM EAST END OF Glasgow will put shut too that.HH.

  7. They are saying in that Loanee Murphy, will destroy any defender he comes up against. With Lustig off duty at Ipox that leaves the door open for young Ralston to show his qualities against the half season loanee. Up till now Murphy has avoided being tackled. That is about to change.
Ralston cut his teeth on Neymar at Paradise and the PSG player was at great length to talk down to Ralston, who for his part stuck to the task.
We’ll see how that plays out.
Likewise, Mororless is one player who needs a real roughing up. He dishes it out, but can’t take it. So let’s see some real earthy tackling and someone with some speed to keep him from playing his part in the game.
Time to show some gristle in the bundome!
