Andres Iniesta and Kyogo Furuhashi have played together at Vissel Kobe since the 18/19 season and the Barcelona legend can’t say enough good things about the striker.

Iniesta left the Camp No to head to Japan where he still plays today. The midifleilder knows all about Kyogo’s qualities and knows he will be a hit in European football.

Speaking not long before Celtic signing him – Iniesta made it clear the player would be a big loss to the club but his move to European football was inevitable.

“To be honest, Kyogo absolutely has the talent to play in Europe,” Iniesta told TalkSport.

“He’s leading the J1’s scoring chart, but it’s not just that. He’s got strong technique, and I believe he can succeed in Europe.

Celtic kept this move under wraps until this morning. A very early tweet by Vissel Kobe gave the game away before Celtic followed suit and confirmed the deal around 8:30am.

The striker is set to say his farewells on Saturday before glying out to Glasgow to begin his Celtic career.

Celtic fans are genuinely excited about this signing and what Kyogo could bring to the table. He’s a very energetic striker who is technically gifted.
