Barkas was set to start in goal for Celtic this evening but at the last possible minute, Scott Bain has been handed the gloves.

This was the starting XI an hour before kick-off: ? CELTIC: Barkas; Ralston, Welsh, Urhoghide, Taylor; Soro, McGregor, Dembele, Turnbull, Johnston; Ajeti

Subs: Bain, Ntcham, Shaw, Robertson, Murray, Henderson, Montgomery, Hjelde, Moffat

Barkas must have been injured in the warm up to pull out of the side too late.

Hopefully it’s just a precaution because it looked as if Ange Postecoglou was set to give the Greek goalie a run in the side.

Scott Bain is a decent goalkeeper but you would be hard pressed to find a Celtic fan who thinks he should be number one this season.

Fans aren’t convinced by Barkas either to be fair but we have a large sample size of what Bain can do, there is still mystery surrounding if Barkas could potentially turn things around.

We’ll likely find out the reason for the Commission after the game against Bristol City.

The bhoys fly back home to Glasgow after the game to get ready for their Champions League game on Tuesday.
