JOHN KENNEDY has confirmed Scott Bain will play no part against St Johnstone on Wednesday evening. The interim Celtic boss confirming Bain has picked up an injury and will not be risked.
It almost certainly means the return of Vasilis Barkas to the side.
Barkas has been the number two since Kennedy took over and has sat on the bench for quite some time under both Neil Lennon and Kennedy.
? JK: "Scott Bain picked up a finger injury in the previous game against Rangers. We’re not taking any risks with that. There’s one or two others, again, who we won’t risk. But nothing major, we’re pretty much working with the same squad give or take one or two."#CELSTJ ?

Goalkeeping issues have been a major problem for Celtic this season. We have not looked capable of making important saves at key times in the game with any of the three goalkeepers used.
Bain, Barkas and Hazard have all had some time in goals this season.
Between our poor goalkeeping and shaky defending, it’s little wonder the season has panned out the way it has.
The new manager will have to address the goalkeeping situation in the summer and we must hope a viable solution is found.
For Barkas, he now should get the nod and perhaps play out the final two games.
