While the project was initially slated for completion this month, the timeline has been pushed back slightly, but the anticipation for the new development remains high.

The revamped Barrowfield site promises to be a game-changer for the club’s future. The complex will feature two outdoor full-size 11-a-side pitches, an indoor 11-a-side pitch, a state-of-the-art gym and fitness facilities, modernised changing areas, medical suites for player treatment and rehabilitation, and dedicated sports science and analysis centres.

The facility is designed to elevate the training environment for Celtic’s youth and women’s teams, providing them with resources on par with the first team’s Lennoxtown complex. This investment underlines Celtic’s commitment to nurturing talent at all levels of the club.

Although there has been a slight delay in completion, the benefits of the Barrowfield project are expected to be worth the wait.

January 2025 will mark a new chapter for the next generation of Celtic stars and the club’s women’s team, as they finally move into a world-class environment tailored to their growth and success.
