IBROX HERO Barry Ferguson has warned The Rangers that Sunday’s Scottish Cup Semi-Final match is more important than their Europa League second leg match against Braga.

The Rangers are currently a goal down in the tie. It’ll be challenging to get back into the tie, with Braga being a strong side capable of scoring a few goals at Ibrox.

If Van Bronkhorst’s side fails to get passed Celtic on Sunday, they face a trophyless season, which fans will not be happy with. Therefore, the club must switch their attention to this match as they try to fight their way past Celtic.

Acknowledging Celtic’s form, the former Alloa manager said; [Daily Record]

“I want Rangers to beat both Braga and Celtic, of course.

“Come Sunday, I don’t know how to put it. It’s massive, absolutely massive that they try and make sure they’re in that cup final against Hearts or Hibs.

“But it’s going to be tough, you just see the form Celtic are in, they’re relentless.”

He continued; “Can they win the Europa League? It’s going to be hard, getting to the semis would be an amazing achievement.
“Then the focus goes on to Sunday, which for me, is the biggest game of the season.”

Getting past Celtic in the form that they are in will be tough. Postecoglou will set his team up in a way that won’t allow the Rangers backline to relax.

Celtic also have Kyogo available again; although Postecoglou has stated he won’t start the match, his presence on the bench will be intimidating. He will likely get some minutes as he searches for his first goal against Celtic’s rivals.
