Former Ibrox Captain Barry Ferguson has told Sheyi Ojo to keep his mouth shut after the on-loan Gers player repeated his Gers boast.

Ojo claimed the Ibrox club were the best team in Scotland before the Glasgow Derby. Celtic rocked up to Ibrox after that statement and won 2-0 at a canter. It only took Celtic drawing at the weekend for Ojo to come back out again and say he stands by his comment on the matter.

Forger three trebles in a row and forget the result at Ibrox last month – Gers are the best in Scotland. Aye, right!

Barry Ferguson has told the Ibrox player to keep his confidence in-house – presumably the fear of a Celtic backlash to the comments driving Barry’s thinking.

“It’s clear that confidence is high, but keep it in-house.” he told SunSport.

“That would be my message — and I would probably say a few other things that I can’t repeat!

“I like confidence in players, but when they start saying things like that, I don’t like it.

“I never enjoyed it myself when I was playing.

Celtic continue to come up with the goods and talk very little about the situation. Trophies matter and right now there’s only one team in Scotland who has been there, done it again and again and again.
