BARRY FERGUSON has been talking up the Ibrox side’s chances today in the Glasgow Derby but he did have a word of warning for Steven Gerrard’s men.

The player turned pundit thinks Celtic might not be ready for a resolute Rangers side BUT any team who have Leigh Griffiths and Odsonne Edouard as their front two should be respected.

He told The Daily Record: “Yes, Lennon’s side has improved and recovered over these last few weeks but I’m not sure they’re quite ready for a test like this one yet.

“What I would say though is that any team sheet that has the names of Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths written on it should come with its own health warning.

“Rangers will have to be alert to the danger this pair provide. Take your eye off either of them for a split second and they’ll make you pay.”

We’ve seen in the last two games alone, both strikers have set the other up and they have a good understanding together.

Edouard missed the last Glasgow Derby at Celtic Park when Celtic were comfortably beat 2-0 by a Rangers side who didn’t have a single shot on target to deal with. An unfit Leigh Griffiths came on as a second half subsitute.

It’s going to take a big performance to win the game at Ibrox but the bhoys must believe they can do it. Our defence has been our undoing and no matter who starts, we have to be wary of set pieces; not just defending them but not giving them away in the first place.

If we can keep a clean sheet early on, it would allow Eddy and Leigh to go do their thing.
