If the Celtic managerial rumours hadn’t taken enough weird turns then here’s another one for you!
Bayern legend Willy Sagnol’s UK representatives have confirmed the former defender will apply for the job this summer in a bid to be the next full-time manager of Celtic Football club.
Speaking to SunSport, his representative Alex McDonald said: “Willy is definitely interested in the Celtic job and will apply in the summer.”
Sagnol has managed less than 100 games since becoming a boss. The Frenchman had a stint managing the French Under-21s followed by two years at Bordeaux.
This would be a highly unlikely option but will tickle many avid players of the old Championship manager where this lad was a bit of a legend on the field too.
Celtic are going to go with someone with much more experience than Willy at this point in proceedings. He may want the job, but there’s little to no chance he’ll even get an interview at this point in his young managerial career.
