CELTIC just signed their first permanent player of the January transfer window.

Vakoun Issouf Bayo signed with the club on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee and becomes Brendan Rodgers THIRD signing in a week.

The Ivory Coast frontman joins loan signings, Oliver Burke and Timothy Weah, as the Irishman tries to mould his side for the second half of the season.

Upon the news being made official, Celtic fans were buzzing the club had got their man, but there was even more excitement after a Celtic fan posted a collection of Bayo’s goals!

Celtic have been short up top and have been struggling to keep their strikers fit this season. Leigh Griffiths is out for an indefinite amount of time while Edouard has done well to carry the can but has had his issues with injury towards the end of the year.

Celtic went to Ibrox on the final game of 2018 without a recognised striker starting. This should not happen again, and the manager has made sure of that with Weah and Bayo who both look like they could help bring eight-in-a-row home.
