Albian Ajeti got two goals at the weekend after coming in from the cold.

The Swiss striker had been watching from the sidelines while Kyogo and Edouard were preferred to him in the starting XI.

Edouard’s exit and Kyogo’s injury meant he was Celtic’s only fit striker — Giakoumakis is not fully fit at the moment and didn’t make the squad for the Ross County game.

BBC Sportscene highlighted something quite interesting about Ajeti’s performance on Saturday and why it’s impressive the player managed to grab a brace.

During the whole game Ajeti only had 15 touches of the ball – two of which seen him stick the ball in the back of the net. That’s quite an impressive stat.

The frontman is not the all round forward but he has shown a knack for being in the right place.

When Albian signed for Celtic last season, it was hoped he would be the penalty box style striker we witnessed against Ross County. Getting into dangerous areas and scoring on a regular basis.

He has a chance now to make a name for himself and prove to Ange Postecoglou that he’s not been an afterthought.
