Celtic put in what might just have been their best showing of the season so far against a high flying Hibernian side. The bhoys went into the game off the back of a very poor performance away in Europe but there was no sign of fatigue or complacency on the day.

Goals from Callum McGregor, Albian Ajeti and Moi Elyounoussi put another three points on the board for the Scottish champions.

However, the story of the day came from the man who assisted in Moi’s goal which killed the game on the day. David Turnbull got the full second half after Ryan Christie went off with a knock. The former Motherwell player looked comfortable and was a breath of fresh air in the middle of the park. This had supporters and pundits praising Turnbull post-match. Livingston player Marvin Bartley who was in the BBC radio studio was gushing over the new Celtic star.

“David Turnbull has been very impressive today. I played against him in his last game for Motherwell and even after his injury he was still controlling the game. Celtic have a real talent.” Marvin Bartley told BBC’s match day coverage website.

David will be in contention over the next few games to make his very first start for the club. The away day against Sarajevo might be too soon but the game against St Johnstone next weekend could be the jumping off point.
