CELTIC left Tynecastle with all three points, however, the team was robbed of the clean sheet after the lineman failed to raise his flag.

Naturally, this should have been one of the biggest talking points, but BBC’s Allan Preston tried to throw a ridiculous claim into the mix.

On BBC Sportsound, the former Hearts player remarked;

“In my honest opinion, Celtic should have been down to ten men.”

The pundit wanted Jota to be shown his marching orders for two separate bookable offences. The booking which he received was when the Hearts player trapped the tricky winger between his legs. Preston also wanted Jota booked for pulling a Hearts player back.

The claim is simply ridiculous. If this knowledge was applied to the wider game there would barely be a player left on the park. The referee deemed a warning was the necessary action.

Jota played exceptionally well and forced Craig Gordon to make many diving saves. It is no wonder fans are wanting the Portuguese winger tied down to a permanent contract.

  1. The Jota and Taylor cards were ridiculous, Devine was looking for trouble well before this incident. If you watch the incident he had trapped Jota who struggled to get, Devine then made a go at Jota and Taylor held him.
