We’ve already covered the shocking challenge on Yosuke Ideguchi from Alloa’s Mouhamed Niang. [Read about it here.]

The player had to go off injured as a result and pundits on the ground all agreed Niang was a very lucky boy to stay on the pitch.

However, on Sportscene, we got an outrageous take from Richard Foster as he explained its really Ideguchi’s fault for getting injured.

You couldn’t make it up!

The mentality of Scottish football and the people who have lived most of their lives in the system is that these tackles aren’t that bad and excuse them.

We understand the gap in quality and the need for opposition players to be robust against Celtic but when it crosses the line it has to be dealt with.

More often than not, we see teams getting away with it.

Then you turn on your television to see a guy BBC is paying to give his opinions telling a Celtic player it’s his fault he’s been injured. It beggars belief.
