CELTIC has EXTENDED their lead at the top of the SPFL table this weekend even after dropping two points against Motherwell on Saturday.

The bhoys were not up to scratch and missed the chance to go 15 points clear in the SPFL. However, the point was enough to put the Hoops 12 points clear on the day.

On Sunday, it was Michael Beale’s side turn to play and had the chance to bring the deficit down to ten points. Instead, Aberdeen, flanked by loan bhoy Liam Scales beat the Ibrox club who walk away from Aberdeen with NOTHING on the day.

The absurd reaction from certain Scottish football pundits on Saturday in the wake of Celtic drawing their second game in 2023 was incredible. All sorts of accusations were getting thrown at Ange’s men and the scenario that The Rangers would be going into the semi final next week with the better form was being touted.

Instead, The Rangers were beaten soundly by the Dons and now have a week to get their act together.

Former Hoops midfielder Barry Robson has turned Aberdeen around in a way not even he could have imagined when he took over from Jim Goodwin as interim boss.
