Tony Watt seems to have left a lasting impression in Belgium after his season long loan to Lierse last season.

While there is little to no chance he will be at Lierse next season after several bust ups with the Manager, Lierse’s rivals Standard liege are lining up a bid for the striker.

Standard sold their top goal scorer last week in a £5million move and are now looking at Tony as a less expensive replacement going forward.

Standard Liege manager Guy Luzon seen Tony score 9 times in 17 appearances last season before being demoted to the reserves and feels he could get a bigger return out the young player under the right circumstances.

If the Belgian outfit firm up their interest this week, Tony Watt should get a clear indication if new Celtic boss Ronny Deila has him in his plans or not.
