As the summer rages on, Celtic supporters are eager for the club’s activity levels in the transfer market to increase.

So far, there have been no confirmed arrivals or departures despite a wealth of speculation.

In Brendan Rodgers’ squad, numerous standout areas need addressing. Following Joe Hart’s retirement and Benjamin Siegrist all but confirming he will leave the club this summer, one or two goalkeepers need to be signed.

Central defence, left-back, midfield, and attack are all other areas that need looking at as the Hoops aim to maintain domestic dominance while making a mark in Europe.

It is only a matter of time before transfer activity ramps up in Glasgow’s east end, and ahead of what is set to be a busy summer, fringe man Siegrist has revealed the extreme lengths Celtic go to hide new signings.

Indeed, the 32-year-old admitted the club looks to hide the identity of fresh acquisitions while explaining how players are expected to act after heavy losses.

“New Celtic players are booked into hotels under false names”, he said (Blick via RecordSport).

“And after defeats, Celtic players should not be seen on the streets for a while if they don’t want to expose themselves to the risk of being harassed.”
