FRASER FORSTER hasn’t been shy about telling everyone how much he’s enjoying his latest loan spell at Celtic.

The goalkeeper spent 18 months languishing in Southampton’s reserves before Neil Lennon brought the former Barca beater back to Parkhead on a season long loan.

It’s proven to be a top piece of business for the club with Fraser coming up big in some very important game. The double header against Lazio showing everyone how good Fraser can be when it comes to shot stopping.

Had it not been for some sensational saves in both home and away ties against the Italian’s then the results would have been very different.

The incredible save Fraser made at the end of the tie at home against Lazio was breathtaking but he thought the save before that when he closed down the angle very quickly was a better save.

The player gets excited when he talks about those moments and says his move back to Celtic has been vindicated.

“I actually thought the save before that was the better save.” Forster told CelticTV.

“For me given the circumstances and the timing in the game, it was pretty much the last kick of the ball, everything around it made a bigger save than it was.

“When you chat about appreciating playing again and whatever, that moment is probably up there with the best in my career.

“Off the back of the previous 18 months, it was an actual moment where you are like ‘that’s why you play football.’
