Celtic fans have been reacting to quotes from Red Bull Salzburg boss Jesse Marsch with regards to the Celtic gig.
The American manager has come through the Red Bull system from Red Bull New York, through Leipzig and now a title winning manager at Salzburg.
He’s the sort of coach who wants to create a culture and build the youth system so the club don’t have to rely on massive fees.
The coach has worked with some amazing talent over the years; Erling Haaland, Dominik Szoboszlai, Dayot Upamecano, Ibrahima Konaté, Tyler Adams, Patson Daka, Sékou Koïta, Marcel Sabitzer, Timo Werner
His comments on the Celtic job have got many fans excited, especially on our Facebook page.
It’s a man appointment which would suit Celtic down to the ground. The club want a director of football in charge and Marsch is the type of coach who could easily work alongside a DoF.
It remains to be seen who will pick the next Celtic boss. There’s rumours the new DoF will have a big say rather than Desmond.
