A lot of Celtic fans can’t cope with the transfer signing policy of Celtic which is simply, spot young talent, buy it cheap, develop it and sell it on for big bucks. Forget about the selling part for a moment. Think of how perfectly this system has worked over the past ten years for the Bhoys.

Sure, sometimes you get it wrong and Celtic can afford to spend a million or two million on a player and get it wrong once they are continuously producing Wanyama’s, Van Dijk’s, Dembele’s and Tierney’s just to name the cream of the crop.

We would all like these players to stay at Celtic Park for as long as possible but the conveyor belt must keep turning for the system to work. According to a Polish FA Cheif, as reported by Record Sport, Celtic have done it again by signing Polish Striker Patryk Kilmala for £3.5m.

The FA Boss had a rant about Polish players leaving for financial gain and for small transfer fees. He thinks Kilmala is the next big thing and even compared him to Inter Milan’s £95m striker Lautaro Martinez. Celtic fans will know better than to be getting carried away with such statements but will be secretly hoping on the inside Zbigniew Boniek is right.

“Polish clubs have to smarter and talk to their players. Some transfers have been devoid of ambition, logic and sense.

“If you look at Jagiellonia, they should have included a clause in Klimala’s contract that meant he could only leave in the summer then he could have helped them fight for the title and he would have been worth more than £3.5 million.

“In a year or two, I think Patryk will be as good as Lautaro Martinez. He’s improved so much in the the past six months because he was given game time.”
