CELTIC will have to move quick if they want to land summer transfer target, Alfie Doughty.
The Scottish champions had two unsuccessful bids in the summer with Charlton knocking back our advances.
Now the player is in the last six months of his deal, they want to try and cash in on Alfie now and Stoke City have made their move.
Sky Sports man, Anthony Joseph confirms Celtic are still interested but would prefer to bring Alfie in at the end of the season for free; signing him to a pre-contract.
Still interested, yes. Not made a bid, though. Celtic would've preferred to maybe get him on a pre-contract. But Charlton look to be trying to cash in while they can and would prefer him to move for £1m+ now.

The midfielder is still out injured at the moment and wouldn’t be ready to make an impact straight away.
If the club can convince him to wait on a summer move, there’s every chance a deal could be done. Will Stoke steal a match on his signature by offering payment now?
Steal a match ?
