Planet Radio also known as Clyde Superscoreboard are reporting that Celtic have had a bid for Scott KcKenna turned down.

There has been rumours flying around all day that Brendan Rodgers had put the 21-year-old at the top of his hitlist but Aberdeen had refuted claims earlier that any bid had been made.

There now seems to be movement on that as reported by Clyde who are this point unsure if this will be the end of Celtic’s interest.

Scott was the subject of a bid from Swansea earlier in this transfer window with the Dons rejecting the Welsh club’s advances.

Celtic fans have been split down the middle about the interest in the Aberdeen star but there’s no disputing he would add some physicality to the Celtic side.

However, the defender’s lack of experience would be a drawback in the interim.

If Celtic can find a replacement for Dedryk Boyata before the deadline it’s likely the club will let the Belgian go.

Will Scott McKenna be that guy?

  1. If this is true why the feck are we trying to sign an Aberdeen player, has Rodgers not learned anything from signing duds like Hendry.

  2. If this is where we are then it’s time to chuck it!
Let’s all ask Lawwell to dish out the £30m that’s in the bank to the season tkt holders and we can all book a nice holiday!
