Celtic could make up to 15 changes for tonight’s clash against Livingston as a group of self-isolating players and staff come back in from the cold. This season had so many hopes for fans back in the summer but it has just been one car crash after the other.
Not having the stomach to go over the past few weeks let’s just focus on tonight’s game and even that is a struggle. With such a big gap in the league, there is very little to be gained from a win against Livi later, the best you can hope for is to avoid any more embarrassment.
After a drab 0-0 at the weekend against tonight’s in-form SPFL team and on a horrible artificial pitch to booth whoever gets into the starting eleven will have their work cut out for them. There were concerns earlier today that the game could have been called off due to bad weather so this contest really does have all the ingredients for a horrible game of ball.
With the teams just released officially, this is how the Celtic team will line up:

While a lot of changes were expected for today it is good to see Turnbull and Soro have kept their place. Callum McGregor will once again captain the Hoops while Scott Brown watches kick off from the bench.
I had to double-take on the team sheet to see no Edouard with Leigh Griffiths leading the line.
- Livingston are unbeaten in their last three home league meetings with Celtic (W1 D2), this after having lost seven such clashes in succession beforehand.
- Since winning 16 consecutive league meetings with Livingston from 2001 to 2018, Celtic have only won two of their last seven against the Lions (D4 L1).
- Livingston have kept a clean sheet in four of their seven league matches under David Martindale (W6 D1), conceding just three goals in this time.
- Celtic have drawn both of their last two league games, including last time out against Livingston. They last drew three league fixtures in a row back in December 2010.
