Celtic Women have really impressed in what is their debut season as a full time team.

Fran Alonso has got this team flying after a few shaky moments earlier this campaign. It’s great to see so much top talent playing for the Hoops and their drive to chase down the almighty Glasgow City has been intriguing to watch.

It seems unlikely the girls will be able to chase down City for the title this year, we’re currently five points off the top and after a pulsating 0-0 draw with Glasgow last week, but there’s still an outside chance.

What’s more realistic is second spot where a Champions League spot is up for grabs. Currently, Celtic sit in third, just one point off Rangers Women.

It might sound cliche but every game right now feels like a cup final and there’s no margin for error.

We’ve seen a run of games since the restart either be aired live on BBC ALBA, BBC Sport Scotland online, or a live stream with a modest fee.

Tonight the Ghirls take on Spartans at Lennoxtown and unfortunately, there will be ZERO ways to watch the game.

This is very disappointing from our point of view. The team deserves the platform and tonight our only way of keeping up with the action is by Twitter.

It’s something Celtic must look at for next season. There is potentially a big audience for the Celtic women side but the club have to do their bit to get it out there in the first place.

We, along with other Celtic fan websites and podcasts have been keeping our readers and listeners up to date with the latest results and what’s going on in the women’s camp.

So all we can do is wait for the result to come in this evening. We hope it’s another win for Fran Alonso and his team.
