Celtic will play Ross County this afternoon with a strong starting XI taking to the field.

However, there will be 12 Celtic players on the field!

It has emerged Ross County will be playing a trialist in goals this afternoon and it has turned out to be Celtic reserve keeper Ross Doohan.

The player is very much on Celtic’s books at the moment but with County short of options in goals, Celtic have allowed Doohan to play against the club with a view to a loan being signed in the coming days.

Neil Lennon hasn’t messed around and is starting the team who is most likely to start next Sunday against Hamilton for the SPFL opener.

Celtic Park will lie empty for the foreseeable future so the team must get used to the echoes of the stadium rather than the roar of the crowd.

Let’s hope Ross doesn’t have too good of a game today against his club. Getting him out on loan to play first team football at a top flight club will be invaluable.
