BOBBY MADDEN will take charge of his first Championship match of the season after grabbing the headlines during the Celtic vs Aberdeen game last week.

The incompetent whistler played on when Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard was blatantly brought down by Aberdeen’s Scott McKenna just inside the area.

Instead of calling the foul at the time, Madden waved play on and even told Edouard to get up.

The French striker had to be substituted minutes later after suffering an injury as a result of the horrible challenge.

Although there is no demotion committee in place, it’s very telling Madden has not been handed a top flight match this weekend.

This is warranted but in no way a proper punishment for the whistler who continues to baffle fans with his ridiculous decisions.

He has not given two clear penalties for Celtic at Celtic Park now.

The McKenna challenge as well as Clint Hill mowing down Griffiths in the last minute of the Glasgow Derby – costing the bhoys all three points.

It’s time referees are held more accountable.
