Adam Idah was brought into Celtic on loan late on transfer deadline day. It was a move that didn’t impress many supporters although in the space of a week, the centre-forward has gained vast adoration from the Parkhead faithful.

His two penalties at Easter Road on Wednesday were seismic, with his second sending the travelling support into a state of sheer pandemonium in the dying embers. Another goal that was scored midweek that Celtic fans would have celebrated was Bojan Miovski’s at Ibrox.

The North Macedonian hitman drew Aberdeen level in the match but they eventually lost 2-1. It was his twentieth goal of the current campaign, with links to Celtic coming as no surprise.

Even before the January window opened, the 24-year-old’s name was mentioned as a potential option for the Hoops and recently, Miovski has spoken out about such links.

He admitted his delight at them while stating he doesn’t know what the future holds when speaking to a Serbian magazine (via Glasgow Times): “I am happy to be linked with clubs like Celtic, Rangers and Southampton because that means I’m making progress”, he said.

“What the future will bring?… I don’t know.”

Miovski has been a clear standout in Scottish football this season. His form has been of top quality, and it is getting to a point where the champions simply can’t ignore him.

Given his age profile, signing the Aberdeen man would be much wiser than bringing in someone like Lawrence Shankland who, currently, is at the peak of their powers. Miovski is already as good as the Hearts man yet he still has room for growth.

The acquisition of his services would appease most Celtic fans, but Idah is taking things in Scotland by storm already. His two penalties at Easter Road were crucial and if he keeps up with his current displays, there will be calls to make his loan deal permanent.
