Boli Bolingoli has told Celtic fans his first few Celtic games were not representative of who he is as a player and his body language was all wrong as he tried to get up to speed with his new teammates.

The player came under intense scrutiny by fans and the media not long after he came in the door after some glaring mistakes in his game. However, the AIK doubleheader and the game at Ibrox has turned the player’s fortunes around.

All of a sudden the left-back is playing with confidence and he helped Celtic to a standout 6-1 thumping of AIK and then contributed to a 2-0 win at Ibrox just days later.

Boli was one of Celtic’s best players when they took on Steven Gerrard’s men and he’s starting to enjoy himself in the Hoops.

Speaking to the Celtic View, the player made it clear the real Boli is starting to shine through.

“I feel like I’m starting to be the real Boli on the pitch, the Boli that loves to play and run.

“That energy was missing a bit in the beginning and I feel like I’m getting it back and getting the confidence back.

“I can see that in how I’m playing now. When I looked back on the previous games I noticed my body language was not the same.

“I have to show my real qualities at home now. That’s another challenge for me but that’s going to be alright.”
