CELTIC have tonight issued a strongly worded statement in the wake of the SFA not charging Ibrox striker Alfredo Morelos for three different incidents during the Derby game last month.

Celtic have requested a meeting with SFA Chairman Ian Maxwell to get to the bottom of why John Beaton and the SFA took no action against Morelos at the time or retroactively.

It was blatant and idiotic from the Colombian who should have seen red during the club’s 1-0 win.

Celtic quite rightly recognised the team were not good enough on the day to win the match BUT they are perplexed that no action has been taken, especially when Morelos managed to injure Celtic defender Ralston.
