Three Celtic players – Adam Idah, Liam Scales, and Mikey Johnston – were recently named in John O’Shea’s Ireland squad for upcoming friendlies against Hungary and Portugal.
A 26-man group was revealed this afternoon and although he wasn’t initially included, it was later announced that Hoops youngster Bosun Lawal will get the opportunity to train with the senior team before joining up the under-21s for friendlies against Croatia and England:

An invaluable experience for the 20-year-old, he is just off the back of a prosperous loan spell with Fleetwood Town in English League One.
He made 46 appearances for the club across all competitions in the season gone by, moulding into a key player after a positional change to central midfield halfway through the campaign.
Lawal is contracted with Celtic until the summer of 2026 and at the beginning of next season, he will likely get the opportunity to impress Brendan Rodgers and make a bid to become a regular member of the Irishman’s first team.
