Celtic have tonight reportedly walked away from the David Turnbull deal after it looked like it was back on this afternoon.

The MailSport editor is very close to the deal and has announced via social media that the club has lost patience with any deal for the Motherwell player.

Celtic put the deal into sharp focus on Friday when they declared they had offered the 19-year-old a magnificent deal but their agent had rejected the deal.

There was seemingly progress over the past day or so but tonight it looks like the game is up and the deal is off the table.

The club seemed far from impressed by the lads representation and Motherwell will now hope to receive a deal for the midfielder equal to what Celtic have offered.

For the Scottish champions, they move onto other targets. There’s no time to waste.
