Celtic have today announced Lee Congerton has left the building!
The man brought in by Brendan Rodgers to unearth talent for his side has now resigned from his position at the club and not before time.
The Englishman has been under increased scrutiny this season with Celtic’s transfer windows being very poor and the lack of talent coming through the door has been a major concern.
Brendan Rodgers tried to defend his appointment earlier this season but then left the club without taking Lee with him. Leicester are still looking for a head of recruitment so, so he may still end up with the Irishman in the Premier League.
For Celtic fans, they will be relieved and delighted this man is on his way and will take no further part in scouting for the club. Celtic need a new direction when it comes to recruitment.
The club say they are now looking for his replacement.
