CELTIC only had one player who made SPFL team of the week but as indications go, it’s vindication for the Celtic star who found himself on the outside looking in when it came to the cup final.

Ismaila Soro was the only Celtic man in the TOTW which encompasses the whole Scottish league system.

Soro is only at the start of his Celtic journey after having to hide his time. It took an incredibly poor run from the team and a dead rubber for the Celtic manager to give the central midfielder a chance.

Now, as he picks up momentum, he also finds himself in the team of the week.

Soro is likely to play his part against Dundee Utd on Wednesday but could find himself on the bench at Ibrox this weekend.

Right now, Neil Lennon is not comfortable going into a big game without Scott Brown on the park. The Celtic captain had a great first half against Hearts during the cup final but faded out of the game as Hearts took over.

It’s good to see Soro getting some recognition for his exploits.
