BRENDAN RODGERS looks like he might have just pulled off his very own transfer masterstroke by giving the green light for one of his young stars to head out on loan to a club who are in direct competition with Celtic and the teams around them.

According to reports this morning, Lewis Morgan has held talks over a Dons move for the rest of the season which would see him take a very similar route to Ryan Christie.

The player has options and the Celtic manager has had his say, but the Irishman did make it clear the final decision would be taken by the player himself and his reps.

Morgan has failed to get into the team with James Forrest and other wingers keeping him at bay, but he shouldn’t be too disheartened. The boy is a definite talent and for Rodgers to allow Morgan to move out to Aberdeen would see the winger take on Celtic’s rivals at the top of the table but would not be eligible to play against Celtic.

McInnes is said to be confident.
