BRENDAN RODGERS has addressed the rumours linking him with the Aston Villa job after a week of speculation.
Celtic fans know full well Brendan Rodgers wouldn’t leave Celtic for Aston Villa but the Irishman has had to make comment after the English media was pushing the speculation.
When asked about the job, the Celtic manager was respectful but clear.
“I’m the Celtic manager and I love it and have lots of challenges here,” Rodgers told BBC Scotland.
“There is always speculation.
“Villa is a top Premier League club in the Championship and I’m sure with their support base and resources they will try and get back there as quickly as they can.”
The Celtic manager had just watched his side blast pat St Johnstone in a 6-0 rout in Perth.
After a stuttering start to the season the bhoys are now only three points off the top of the SPFL going into the international break.
Now let us move on and set our sights on 10 in a row and let our manager and players bring it home send the message we are ready and willing we are back as one..
